Forester Kangaroos

I got to see these wonderful Forester Kangaroos at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary near Hobart. Unfortunately it was a bit wet when I took their picture!

Tamania only has one species of kangaroo and sadly they are now only found in isolated populations in central and north-eastern Tasmania.

According to DPIPWE, by the 1960's the species was reduced to less than 15% of its range at the time of european settlement.
